Weekend with the Bradfields

My family, including two of my three sisters and their families, joined us for a weekend recently. The men were recruited to carry to the basement our newly purchased sheetrock. I can't remember how many trips they made, but they worked hard! So hard that they had to sit on the couch and watch basketball the rest of the day.

We had to keep the kids out of the way while the men were working, so we did what all good moms in this situation do; turned on a favorite movie. I think we've raised some pretty good tv watchers!

Cooper loved baby cousin Jenna. Though he is quite an adept walker, he crawled around next to her much of the weekend.

We are so thankful for the wonderful families with whom God has blessed us. They surround us with their support constantly. "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all."

Weekend with Gram and Papa

Good clean fun...

Gram and Papa Spore spent the weekend with us (Thursday night through Monday night for Papa), helping us with the kids and working in the basement. We are blessed by their support for our family! We are in the process of finishing two bedrooms, a family room, bathroom, and kitchenette in our basement. H and C are really looking forward to having their own rooms down there.

Cooper had another check-up yesterday, and he is now caught up on immunizations. He has gained six pounds and 3 cm in three months. Three months....how all of our lives have changed in that amount of time! We are pretty sure we're still battling giardia, but all in all, Cooper is a really healthy little boy. Happy half birthday, Little Man!

Kiss, Anyone?

Cooper has become quite a kisser. His receptive language skills are mushrooming, and the word "kiss" has definitely been acquired! That pucker is just too cute.

My stay at home boys are developing a unique relationship.....mostly loving, sometimes not.

C is my number one "go to girl" for entertaining Cooper when I need to accomplish something. All the kids do a great job with him, though!

Christmas in January

My Pennsylvania sister, Laura, and her family couldn't make it to Iowa for Christmas because of the terrible weather. We decided to go ahead without them and to re-celebrate Christmas in January when they were able to come. Mom and Dad left up all their Christmas decor (except for the very dry tree), bought more gifts (on clearance this time), and threw a very fun Christmas in January. Cooper had fun meeting four new cousins, and Aunt Laura and Uncle Kevin doted on him, too. Below are some pictures from our fun weekend.
